FROM AN IDEA TO IMPACT: MY JOURNEY BUILDING LMICIS

Innovation begins with identifying a real problem. As a Public Health graduate, I have seen the challenges of tracking childhood immunization, managing paper records, and following up with children who miss their vaccination appointments. These experiences inspired me to develop the Last Mile Immunization Coverage Information System (LMICIS).
LMICIS is a digital solution designed to support healthcare workers by improving immunization tracking, reducing paperwork, and helping ensure that every child receives vaccines on time. My goal is to strengthen healthcare delivery, especially in underserved communities.
At this stage of my journey, I am laying the foundation for development by designing the system workflow and preparing my development environment. Every step I take brings me closer to transforming this idea into a practical solution that can make a meaningful difference in public health.
The HIP Challenge has motivated me to keep learning, building, and collaborating with other innovators. I look forward to sharing my progress as LMICIS evolves from a concept into a working system that improves immunization coverage and protects children’s health.
