Reflection

Your Person and Their Unmet Need
You've identified that Thandi, a 34-year-old mother in Delft, needs a better way to find trusted, affordable wellness solutions to manage her stress naturally because exhaustion from work and caregiving leaves her little time for self-care, as demonstrated by interviews and feedback you conducted.
Your People Ecosystem Map
Thandi herself: inner layer, uses and chooses the product based on trust, affordability and perceived value, needs to understand benefits and feel the solution addresses her needs.
Her family: inner layer, benefits indirectly when she has more energy and capacity to care for them, may sometimes pay for the product on her behalf.
Other mothers in community: close layer, uses and chooses, needs trust in product and belief in genuine value.
Local wellness and health practitioners: middle layer, can influence what is considered safe and appropriate, need assurance of quality and compliance.
Pharmacies and health shops: middle layer, distribute and sell, resources and rules affect their stocking decisions.
Suppliers and manufacturers: middle layer, implement by providing reliable quality products, can block the project if unable to provide consistent supply—not yet spoken to.
Community organisations and women's groups: middle layer, support and influence purchasing decisions within their networks.
Entrepreneurs and business mentors: middle layer, advise and support implementation decisions.
Local schools and workplaces: outer layer, influence customer awareness and access.
Government and health regulators: outer layer, set and enforce rules around safety, labelling and legal requirements, can stop the project if products do not meet these standards—not yet spoken to.
Financial institutions and investors: outer layer, control resources needed to grow, can influence whether the project has capacity to scale—not yet spoken to.
Stakeholder Engagement Plan
Stakeholder and required relationshipWhat we need from them / what they need from usWorking mothers as customersInvolve: You need their feedback and trust to test and improve products so HerRise solves a real need. They need trustworthy information, products that genuinely meet their needs for accessible wellness support that fits their busy life and budget, and to feel supported and more able to prioritise their wellbeing. They stand to gain better access to wellness support; they risk losing money or trust if the product does not deliver value.Product supplierCollaborate: You need their reliability, quality products and clear communication. They need consistent orders, reliable business communication and a sustainable relationship with growing sales. They stand to gain a loyal business customer and increased orders; they risk losing revenue if the partnership fails.MentorConsult: You need their knowledge, guidance and honest feedback to strengthen your business decisions rather than relying only on your own assumptions. They need you to apply what they teach and see the entrepreneurs they support actually create sustainable ventures that become viable businesses. They stand to gain evidence of their programme's impact; they risk losing time and resources if the project does not progress.InvestorCollaborate: You need their funding and possibly their strategic support. They need you to use resources responsibly, demonstrate measurable progress and show evidence of sustainable growth and measurable impact. They stand to gain financial return or measurable social impact; they risk losing their investment capital and confidence if the business fails.Your Team Charter
Your Team Charter sets out how you will work together to build and scale HerRise.**
Purpose: You are accountable for the overall HerRise vision, customer relationships, business strategy, marketing, sales and day-to-day coordination.
Capabilities you bring: You have strengths in communication, connecting with women, understanding their challenges, storytelling, marketing, selling and being passionate about creating solutions, and you are also developing your entrepreneurial and digital skills.
Capabilities you need: You still need to strengthen financial management, regulatory and product knowledge, digital marketing, data analysis, supply-chain management and scaling a business, which you plan to develop through training, mentors, research and by bringing people with complementary expertise into your network.
Roles and ownership: Suppliers will be responsible for product supply and quality information, and a qualified professional or relevant regulatory adviser will guide compliance and product requirements; if you bring team members into the business, each person will have clearly defined responsibilities, and you will document responsibilities clearly to avoid delays, mistakes and conflict in areas including stock, finances, customer service and compliance.
External relationships: The regulatory and product-compliance relationship currently needs a clear owner; you will initially take responsibility for identifying the correct requirements and connecting with qualified people who can advise you, and as HerRise grows, you would like to bring in someone with appropriate regulatory or product expertise so that compliance is not dependent on your knowledge alone.
Decisions: You will make important decisions using evidence, customer feedback and clearly defined goals rather than relying only on your personal opinion.
Disagreement and concerns: When there is disagreement, you will listen to each perspective, ask questions and focus on the problem rather than the person; if you believe you are solving the wrong problem, you will raise the concern respectfully and support it with customer feedback, research or evidence, and you can test the assumption before deciding whether to change direction.
Roles, Responsibilities and Relationship Owners

You have been treating working mothers as your primary customer, but you should recognize that regulatory authorities are a gatekeeper stakeholder whose approval is non-negotiable—and they are not customers in any conventional sense. You need their cooperation more than they need your product.
You have not yet established a dedicated internal owner for regulatory and product-compliance relationships; you are currently holding this accountability yourself alongside founder responsibilities for vision, strategy, marketing and sales, which creates a single point of failure in a domain where mistakes could stop the entire project.
The critical relationships you have identified—customers, suppliers, mentors and investors—each have clearly defined unmet needs and accountability, but you lack internal capacity in financial management, regulatory knowledge, product expertise, supply-chain management and scaling operations; these gaps will constrain your ability to deliver on the promises each stakeholder expects from you.
Your single greatest people risk is that you are attempting to own customer relationships, business strategy, marketing, sales, day-to-day coordination and regulatory compliance simultaneously; if any one of these domains requires urgent attention, the others will suffer, and regulatory compliance delays in particular could derail the entire venture.
Your immediate next step is to identify and connect with a qualified regulatory or product-compliance adviser who can take ownership of that relationship and reduce your personal dependency in this critical domain.
