Knowledge Base Pathways & Livelihoods

Can participants continue to be involved after the HIP Challenge ends?

Yes. HIP is intended to be the beginning of a longer journey rather than a one-time program.

The Health Innovation Product Development Challenge is designed as an entry point into a broader ecosystem of learning, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community participation.

Participants who complete the challenge may continue to engage in a variety of ways, depending on their interests, capabilities, and opportunities.

Examples may include continuing product or venture development, participating in future Communities of Africa initiatives, joining community projects and collaborations, becoming mentors or peer supporters, serving as facilitators or community champions, supporting product distribution or implementation activities, and contributing to research, documentation, and storytelling.

The goal is to create pathways for ongoing participation rather than a single learning experience that ends when the challenge concludes.
