What is the long-term vision behind Communities of Africa?

Communities of Africa aims to build a collaborative ecosystem that connects learning, contribution, innovation, and opportunity creation across Africa.

The long-term vision of Communities of Africa is to build a distributed ecosystem of learners, educators, innovators, entrepreneurs, professionals, institutions, and community organizations that work together to create opportunities and strengthen communities.

Rather than focusing exclusively on formal education, employment, or entrepreneurship, Communities of Africa seeks to support multiple pathways through which people can contribute, learn, earn, and create value.

The initiative aims to help develop professional capabilities, strengthen local innovation ecosystems, support livelihood creation, encourage collaboration across borders, and create new models for connecting learning with meaningful participation in society.

While the vision is ambitious, Communities of Africa is being developed incrementally through pilot projects, partnerships, experimentation, and community participation.
