What is UBU?

UBU is the first stage of the proSEED framework and focuses on helping participants find their footing by developing self-awareness, professionalism, teamwork, and project readiness.

UBU is the first stage of the proSEED framework and serves as the foundation for everything that follows. Before people can effectively innovate, collaborate, or build ventures, they need to understand themselves, how they work with others, and how to participate effectively within a team and community. UBU focuses on four areas: Perspective Purpose People Process Participants explore their motivations, strengths, biases, communication styles, and goals while developing the professional and interpersonal skills needed to contribute effectively to projects and teams. UBU also helps establish the culture of the program, including collaboration, mutual respect, professionalism, accountability, and community engagement.
