As a gardener doing vertical farming in a 200 square metres, an agro processor, a seed distributer, and a Bee keeper I believe that agriculture is more than just growing food- it is about creating opportunities, strengthening communities and promoting self reliance. Currently I am building a nursery for growing indigenous plants, Herbs and medicinal plant s for my new found venture of creating my very own products ie herbal teas and essential oils.

My name is Philisiwe (Phila) Mcanda, a founder and director of Asizbambe Projects Pty (Ltd) it's all about women doing it for themselves in agriculture..
My work focuses on producing high quality agricultural products whilst inspiring others to discover the value of growing their own food. I specialise in growing organic, healthy strawberies , Chilies and other crops. I preserve and cook delicious home made Strawberry and Chili Jam together with Hot Chili source through value added agro processing.. I am a seed distributer in collaboration with Seed share SA encouraging individuals and households to establish their own Garden. I enjoy sharing practical knowledge and helping people to develop the skill and confidence to grow their own food, improve household nutrition and create additional source of income..
