My Introduction
My Venture
DigestAid
DigestAid is an innovative, natural animal digestive supplement developed from indigenous medicinal plants. It is designed to improve livestock digestive health, enhance nutrient absorption, strengthen immunity, increase productivity, support reproductive health, and assist animals in excreting foreign materials that may have been ingested, helping to reduce digestive complications. The venture aims to provide livestock farmers with an affordable, sustainable, and science-informed solution while promoting the commercialisation of Indigenous Knowledge.

About
My name is Tsholofelo Mokoena, and I am an Indigenous Knowledge Systems researcher, entrepreneur, and innovator passionate about transforming indigenous knowledge into practical, sustainable solutions that address real-world challenges.
I hold a Bachelor of Indigenous Knowledge. My academic journey has deepened my appreciation for the role of indigenous knowledge in advancing sustainable development, innovation, and community empowerment.
As the founder of DigestAid, I am committed to developing innovative solutions that improve livestock health while promoting the commercialisation of Indigenous Knowledge. My work has been recognised through innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, including winning a pitch competition at the Indigenous Knowledge Investment Summit.
I aspire to continue my academic journey by pursuing a Master’s degree focused on the commercialisation of Indigenous Knowledge research. My long-term vision is to bridge the gap between indigenous knowledge, scientific research, and entrepreneurship to create solutions that contribute to sustainable agriculture, economic development, and improved livelihoods.
I am also passionate about bringing greater recognition to indigenous communities as the original knowledge holders, ensuring their knowledge is respected, protected, and responsibly integrated into innovation for the benefit of present and future generations.
